We will meet at the Roman Pond of the Plaza de España at 11:00 hours. After discovering the famous “Hall” we will go to the Municipal Historical Museum of Écija located in the impressive Benamejí Palace. Inside, we will find the unique piece of the Wounded Amazon, among many other works of art such as Roman mosaics from the old Colonia Augusta Firma Astigi.
Next, we will enter the winding and narrow alleys of the city in search of imposing palatial facades in the Baroque style that will transport us to the golden age of Ecija.
We will go inside one of the churches that give Écija the name of “Ciudad de las Torres” to learn more about the reason for these numerous religious buildings in the city.
Finally we will discover the highest jewel, the Palacio de Peñaflor, a stately palace that dazzlingly reflects Andalusian baroque style. We are waiting for you in Écija!
