Écija – Equestrian & Cultural Tour

Écija is a traditional town in the heart of Andalusia, located midway between Seville and Cordoba. The access is convenient by highway A4 or by bus from Córdoba or Seville.

The town was visited in 1829 by the American writer Washington Irving, who was fascinated by the Hispanic-Arab exoticism and richness he found here.

Following in the footsteps of this romantic author, you will discover palaces and churches, fortresses and vernacular architecture in this amazing and traditional town.

This tour could offer a horse drawn-carriage to drive you around the old towncentre and the countryside where you will feel like a real voyager in 19^th century.

This tour has been designed to experience the extensive and splendid heritage of Écija.

We will explore the many distinctive exterior façades and churches while we are being drivenin a carriage. Finally, we will visit the fertile countryside around Écija**, where we find the different agriculture.

Depending on the season, we see olives, wheat, sunflowers, cotton farming or vegetables traditionally grow on these landssuch as onions, garlic, green pepper and so on.
